Privacy Policy
Shiftpad: Shift Calendar · Effective 3 November 2026
Introduction
This policy explains how Shiftpad ("we", "the app") handles information. It applies to the iOS and Android apps.
Data you enter
Shift types, rotations, schedule entries, notes, pay rates and settings are stored in a local database on your device. We never receive them. Deleting the app deletes this data from the device.
Advertising (free version)
The free version shows banner and interstitial ads from Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and process data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and ad interactions, subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not receive this data.
- Consent (UMP): where required, for example in the EEA and UK, the app shows Google's consent form before requesting ads.
- iPhone (ATT): the app asks whether you allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, ads can still appear but are not personalized by tracking.
- Android: ads use the Android advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your device settings.
- Pro: if you buy Shiftpad Pro, ads are not shown and the consent and tracking prompts are skipped.
Purchases
Shiftpad Pro (monthly, yearly, lifetime) is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive no payment details. The app checks your purchase status with the store.
Permissions
- Notifications: for the shift reminders you turn on. They are scheduled on the device.
- Android only: exact alarms, full-screen notification and start at boot, so reminders can fire on time and be rescheduled after a restart; internet access for ads and Google Play billing.
- iPhone only: App Tracking Transparency prompt, as described above.
Backups and export
You can create a backup file or export your calendar as .ics. The file goes where you save or share it. We never receive it. On Android, your device's system backup (Google) may also include app data, depending on your device settings.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. For data handled by Google for ads, use Google's controls and your device settings. Under the GDPR you may contact us or your data protection authority with any request or complaint.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
